International racing — FAI programme
The World Drone Cup (WDC) is part of the FAI's international drone racing programme: a series of sanctioned competitions that bring national teams and top pilots together under common sporting rules. It sits alongside other FAI titles such as the World Drone Racing Championship (WDRC)—the annual world championship event.
Under the FAI (world air sports federation), drone racing is governed by international sporting rules, technical standards, and event procedures. The World Drone Cup format connects national associations, organisers, and pilots in a recognised global competition structure.
WDRC usually refers to the World Drone Racing Championship—the flagship world title event. WDC activities can include world cup rounds and related series that feed into that ecosystem; exact naming and calendars evolve by season, so always check the latest bulletins on the FAI Drone Racing World Cup page.
For live results and event listings many communities also use FPVScores alongside official FAI communications.
In the Netherlands, KNVvL is the national air sports association. The official national championship route—ranking races, finals, and selection context for international representation—is organised as NK Drone Racing (Dutch Nationals).
