The Dutch National Drone Racing Championship 2026 reaches its climax with a spectacular two-day finale weekend at MVC Nederweert. This event combines Ranking #3 with the decisive NK 2026 Final, where the Dutch Champion will ultimately be crowned.
After two intense ranking rounds, this final weekend determines both the last qualification spots and the national champion.
Organized by Stichting Dutch Drone Racing and supported by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Vereniging voor Luchtvaart (KNVvL) and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the championship follows the official F9U regulations, ensuring fair and internationally recognized competition.
The finale weekend takes place at MVC Nederweert, a beautiful and welcoming model flying club with a strong reputation within the Dutch drone racing community.
After successfully hosting the final ranking event and NK Final in 2025, this venue once again provides the perfect stage for the championship decider. Known for its open layout, excellent facilities, and hospitable atmosphere, MVC Nederweert offers a fair, fast, and technical racing environment where every detail is set for top-level competition.
For many pilots, this location already carries great memories—and in 2026, new champions will be made here.

The weekend kicks off with the first phase of the final ranking event.
Qualifying (Part 1)
Pilots compete in qualifying heats of six, where the fastest three consecutive laps determine their ranking. Each pilot receives an equal number of attempts.
Qualifying (Continuation)
Sunday morning continues the remaining qualification rounds for Ranking #3, ensuring all pilots have equal opportunity to set their best times.
Ranking #3 Eliminations
The top 16 pilots from qualification advance to the double-elimination bracket (heats of four).
Each race follows a first-to-3-laps format, where the first pilot to complete three laps wins the heat.
Ranking #3 Final – Chase the Ace
The ranking event concludes with a Chase the Ace final, where a pilot must win twice to secure victory.
After the completion of Ranking #3, the top 16 pilots from the overall season ranking qualify for the NK Final.
Final Eliminations
The NK Final starts directly with a double-elimination format, without qualification rounds.
Grand Final – Chase the Ace
The championship is decided in a Chase the Ace final, using the same first-to-3-laps format.
A pilot must win twice to become the Dutch Drone Racing Champion 2026.
This final carries a 1.2x points multiplier, making it the most decisive moment of the season.
In case of a tie:
During the final, points are multiplied by 1.2x, and for finalists the best three results (including the final) determine the final standings.
All races follow the official F9U regulations of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI).
