The 2026 Dutch Drone Racing Championship has come to an end after a season of close racing, changing venues and a title fight that remained open until the very last event.
The 2026 Dutch Drone Racing Championship has come to an end after a season of close racing, changing venues and a title fight that remained open until the very last event.
Organised by Dutch Drone Racing, this year’s championship took pilots across three very different locations in the Netherlands. The season opened on 9 May 2026 at Winterswijkse Luchtvaart Club, followed by the second ranking event on 6 June at Unmanned Valley in Katwijk, where pilots raced on the former military airfield. The championship concluded during a full final weekend on 5 and 6 September at MVC Nederweert in Leveroy, with both Ranking #3 and the season finale taking place across the weekend.
At the end of it all, Jordy Peek, better known as Keepy, was crowned Dutch Drone Racing Champion 2026.
With a final championship score of 48.2 points, Keepy finished just ahead of Andrzej Krasny, also known as SirCrashalot, who ended the season on 45.8 points. Sander Puttenstein (SanderPuh), completed the championship podium with 38 points.

A Championship Fight That Went Down to the Wire
For most of the season, the championship battle was defined by Keepy and SirCrashalot.
Keepy started his campaign with a second-place finish in Winterswijk before taking third at Unmanned Valley. SirCrashalot matched that consistency almost perfectly, finishing third in the opening round and second in Katwijk.
That left both pilots extremely close in points heading into the final race weekend at MVC Nederweert.
Saturday’s Ranking #3 changed the picture once again. Keepy suffered a difficult round and finished eighth, while SirCrashalot secured another strong third-place result. With only the final ranking event remaining, the title was still completely open.
On Sunday, however, Keepy delivered exactly when it mattered most.
He bounced back from Saturday’s setback with his strongest result of the season, winning the final ranking event and scoring 19.2 points. SirCrashalot finished third in the finale, bringing his championship total to 45.8 points.
After an entire season of racing, the final difference between the two was just 2.4 points.
SanderPuh Takes Third Overall
The fight for the final podium position was also decided during the last weekend.
Sander Puttenstein, SanderPuh, finished fifth in the opening round in Winterswijk, did not compete in Ranking #2 at Unmanned Valley and placed ninth in Ranking #3.
He then produced one of his strongest performances of the season in Sunday’s finale, taking second place and 18 points. That result moved him to 38 points overall and secured third place in the Dutch Championship.
Behind the podium, Manolito Snell, Mano, finished fourth with 37.4 points, followed by Thijs Berenstein, Lil Rippuh, with 27.6 points and Whatsnext with 25 points.

A New Dutch Champion
The 2026 season also brought a change at the top.
Dennis Mennema, DroneD, entered the year as the reigning Dutch Champion after winning the 2025 title. This season he only competed in the opening event, where he scored 13 points, and was not present at the remaining championship rounds.
That left the title fight firmly in the hands of Keepy and SirCrashalot, who pushed each other throughout the season from Winterswijk to Katwijk and finally Leveroy.
Drone racing is never only about outright speed. A championship rewards consistency, precision, racecraft, technical preparation and the ability to perform under pressure. Over four scoring opportunities, Keepy ultimately managed to put all of those elements together when it mattered most.
His comeback during the final ranking event proved decisive and secured him the 2026 Dutch Drone Racing Championship title.
