Dutch Drone Racing Nationals 2026: Official Race Calendar Announced

The Dutch Drone Racing Nationals 2026 are officially confirmed. Following a successful return in 2025, Dutch Drone Racing proudly announces the full race calendar for the upcoming season.

Building on last year’s momentum, the 2026 season continues to develop a professional and internationally aligned FPV drone racing championship in the Netherlands.


Race Format: Rankings and Grand Final

The Dutch Nationals 2026 will consist of:

  • Three ranking events
  • One championship final


Each event contributes to the national leaderboard, with the top 16 pilots advancing to the final to compete for the title of Dutch National Drone Racing Champion 2026.


Official Dutch Nationals 2026 Dates

The competition will take place across three well-known Dutch drone racing venues:

  1. May 9, 2026 – Ranking Event #1 – Winterswijk
  2. June 6, 2026 – Ranking Event #2 – Katwijk
  3. September 5, 2026 – Ranking Event #3 – Nederweert
  4. September 6, 2026 – Grand Final – Nederweert


These events will challenge the best FPV drone pilots in the Netherlands across varied and technical race tracks.


Official Recognition: KNVvL and FAI

The Dutch Nationals are organized under the authority of the Royal Netherlands Aeronautical Association and follow the official F9U drone racing regulations set by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale.


This ensures:

  • Fair and transparent competition
  • Compliance with international standards
  • Qualification pathways to international FAI championships


The Dutch Nationals also serve as a selection platform for the Dutch national FPV drone racing team.


Competitive Format and Scoring

The 2026 season uses a double elimination race format, combined with the high-intensity Chase the Ace final.


Consistency throughout the season is key, while finalists benefit from a 1.2x points multiplier, keeping the championship battle open until the final heat.


Continued Growth and Professionalization

After marking its return in 2025, the focus for 2026 shifts toward growth, consistency, and professional organization.


Highlights include:
